We are able to keep costs down by designing around the Eaton M90 3rd generation supercharger that was used in the Ford T-Bird “supercoupe” from 1989 to 1995. The inlet (must) be the oval as in late 1995 Ford went to a rectangular that is (not) “compatible” with this kit.
This is my “original” Dyno-Run that was set up for (Fuel Delivery/Automatic Transmission shift points). It was not a performance tune, but request was for a safe reliable tune for my daily driver.
More customer “runs” can be found on Http://www.bansheesupercharger.com
Installation time is approximately 10hrs with average mechanical ability and tools.
Reliable power gain is around 60 hp that relates to around $30.00 per hp.
Boost pressure will be right around 5.5 to 6 lbs using stock 3.16" Supercharger Pulley & Boostpressure can be increased for those capable.
After install “stock computer” will learn new settings and (no) “CEL” should appear. You must keep “RPM’s” below 4,000 until a new tune is installed, as it (will) lean out near peak HP/TQ curve’s. Final tunes can be done at your local dyno-tune shop or mail order’s are available from a “reputable” SCT dealer, that is knowledgeable with our setup.
A “removal & installation” manual is included along with a complete parts list.
This Banshee Supercharger Kit is designed specifically for the 2001 & 2002 Ford 4.0 SOHC Ranger (but) is compatible to all Fords 4.0 SOHC vehicles and (may) require “minor” changes. The (most prevelant) for the “Ford Ranger is that Ford used 4-different sized fuel line connectors. I currently have in stock all the sizes that I am aware of.
The Supercharger needed is from the Ford T-Bird “supercoupe” & pictures are shown below.
